Whimsical and romantic patterned dresses and blouses that are made of sheer fabric insets and loose fitting silk are something to look out for this spring. Flowers are in full bloom right now at HIP and they are retro inspired taking us back to the 40’s, my favorite era. For the hippie that lives inside of all of us there is tie-dye, paint splotches and abstract prints. While primal and tribal prints are a fresh new entry for this spring’s fashion.

Every season Handbag trends come and go and come back around again. This season white is hot! White and neutral handbags are one of the most popular trends for spring 2010. If you only get one handbag this spring go for one in ivory, white, cream, nude or beige. Look for these colors in a satchel or slouchy hobo style like the ones from Melie Bianco shown in the pictures above.

Detail is an essential feature to look for while on your white/neutral handbag search this season. Texture is a predominant feature for spring. Look for braided handles, woven leather, ruching detail and pleats. Tassels and fringe are also trendy trimmings to watch out for this year. If you are looking for more edge you should try metallic hardware like studs, chains, exposed zippers, buckles and other embellishments.

The Military Chic Fashion Trend is back and has been building popularity this fall and is sticking around through the warmer spring and summer month’s ahead. Check out Sharon Stone on the December cover of Elle decked out in army greens and browns for a bit of inspiration.
